Helpdesk Customer Support Technician


We are currently seeking a Helpdesk Customer Support Technician to join our IT Department. This position offers a hybrid remote schedule. In this position, you will be responsible for providing tier 1 helpdesk support for over 150 users both on and off-site, to resolve routine issues related to both hardware and software. In addition you will at times provide tier 2 helpdesk support and tier 1 network support.

Responsibilities


  • Perform routine maintenance of workstations, troubleshooting, installation of new hardware and software
  • Assist with maintenance and backups, custom application support, and IT training
  • Monitor the online tracking system and resolves all IT Helpdesk tickets
  • Responsible for day-to-day IT functions and supports the Director of Information Technology and System Administrator with projects and tasks as needed
  • Set up hardware and install software
  • Provide high level of customer service as the first point of contact in person, and through email, helpdesk tickets and other forms of communication
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues

Requirements


  • Honest, reliable team player with integrity
  • Provide exceptional internal and external client service
  • Knowledge of workstation repair maintenance, Microsoft Windows Professional/Server, and Microsoft Office Applications including Cloud Services
  • Available during and outside of regular office hours with little to no notice
  • Ability to work independently and with multiple teams and personalities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and execute tasks in fast paced environment
  • Professional in attitude and temperament
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality
  • A+ certification or equivalent training and experience
  • Network+ or other related certification (preferred)
  • Successful customer support experience in an IT environment
